Patricia, a resident of Greenwich, grew up in Norwalk, Connecticut. Patricia’s parents were active in the Veterans of Foreign War and Patricia was a member of the Junior Auxiliary of Post 603. Patricia earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Fordham University and majored in English as well as in economics. In undergraduate school, she studied science at Rockefeller University and nuclear physics at Oak Ridge Associated Universities in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with Divisional Honors in English. Patricia graduated from Fordham University School of Law and has been a practicing attorney since 1987.
In addition, Patricia earned an Associate’s Degree from Tobe Coburn School for Fashion Careers, from the New York School of Interior Design, and a Master’s degree in Education from the Graduate School of Education of the University of Bridgeport.
Miss DeWitt was an intern for the Honorable John W. Walker, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, when he was the United States District Court Judge, District of New York.
Attorney DeWitt was an Enforcement Attorney for the New York Stock Exchange and before she began her general practice in 1993, she was a Trial Attorney for an insurance company.
Attorney DeWitt is the individual proprietor of a general practice. She has represented clients for major corporations as well as individuals in the courts of Connecticut and New York. Her experience has been as an advocate for plaintiffs, a defense attorney, an arbitrator for the New York Stock Exchange, the National Association of Securities Dealers, and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, FINRA.
She is devoted to zealously representing the interests of her clients. She is tenacious, ethical, and committed to helping her clients to receive the best possible outcome under the circumstances of the case as well as just compensation, if applicable.
Attorney DeWitt is an adoptive parent and dedicated to advising and assisting persons interested in adopting or having their infant adopted.
Attorney DeWitt was admitted to practice in New York in 1987 and in Connecticut in 1996. She is admitted in Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of United State District Courts in New York, in Connecticut courts, the United States District Court of Connecticut as well as the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
